This site provides an extensive listing of scholarly
presentations and papers, plus links to numerous sites.
It is hosted by the UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse
Programs (ISAP), which was established in 1999 to
consolidate research efforts in nearly all areas of drug
abuse research. During this time, ISAP has steadily
established its presence as a major entity in the drug abuse
research community, both domestically and internationally.
The group continues to advance the knowledge base on drug
problems and to improve the delivery of drug abuse treatment
services through an array of projects, some ongoing and some
new. The problem of methamphetamine abuse is particularly
challenging, and ISAP is at the forefront of research,
training and treatment development in this area.
Reducing Methamphetamine Use: The Role of Prevention
Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) issued a
statement to the Senate Appropriation Subcommittee on Labor,
Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies in
April 2005 on the effectiveness of national prevention
efforts and the need for continued funding.
