The Community Prevention Initiative (CPI) is pleased to announce the 2015 regional trainings. The regional topic this year is "data-based outcomes and evaluation" which will consist of practical training and interactive workgroups to develop an evaluation plan for your prevention efforts. Sessions will provide an opportunity for you to enhance your skills in evaluation strategies, identify relevant evaluation tools, and employ innovative practices to promote your evaluation results.

Participants will be provided with templates and resources during this two-day training that can be used during "hands on" working session time to develop or revise your evaluation plan.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
County AOD Administrators and Prevention Coordinators, cross-system evaluation partners (MHSA Coordinators, Public Health Coordinators, TUPE and other County/District LEA Representatives), and other community and county representatives and/or providers who are engaged in evaluating local and county level prevention efforts.

Serving California's
Prevention Community

The Community Prevention Initiative (CPI) provides no-cost technical assistance and training in substance abuse prevention. CPI is administered by the Center for Applied Research Solutions and funded and directed by the California Department of Health Care Services.

The TTA project is intended to serve California agencies and organizations involved in community-based prevention. CPI is able to provide no-cost TTA support for planning and prevention services that include a broad community perspective. Specifically, the purpose of Community Prevention Initiative, is "to reduce and manage community-level risks and problems directly attributable to and/or collaterally resulting from ATOD availability, manufacture, distribution, promotion, sale and/or use."

The CARS CPI TA team works in coordination with the DHCS team and with a pool of expert consultants to provide services.
