More Info

The Community Prevention Initiative (CPI) is pleased to announce the theme for the 2016 Regional Trainings: All About Data! The forums will introduce data concepts and provide guidance to selecting appropriate data sources and analyzing data effectively to tell your prevention story. We are very excited to showcase the new CPI County Indicator Toolkit to the prevention field. Participants will learn to work with data in a meaningful way through guided, hands-on activities and group discussions designed to equip prevention professionals with data tools and knowledge. How we select and utilize data is the foundation of the Strategic Prevention Framework that guides local assessment for strategic prevention planning. Do not fear data--become one with data.

We welcome your participation and look forward to learning together!

Who should attend? County AOD Administrators, County Prevention Coordinators, local prevention providers, and other community agencies

The TTA project is intended to serve California agencies and organizations involved in community-based prevention. CPI is able to provide no-cost TTA support for planning and prevention services that include a broad community perspective. Specifically, the purpose of Community Prevention Initiative, is "to reduce and manage community-level risks and problems directly attributable to and/or collaterally resulting from ATOD availability, manufacture, distribution, promotion, sale and/or use."

The CARS CPI TA team works in coordination with the DHCS team and with a pool of expert consultants to provide services.
