Webinar Series – “Understanding Marijuana: A Look at the Scientific Findings, History, and Community Impact, and Equitable Public Health Opportunities”

Join CA4Health and Dialogue4Health for three upcoming webinars on cannabis, public health, and public policy. Session 1, “Marijuana and Our Health, What We Do and Don’t Know,” will explore the scientific information available about the effects of marijuana use on health. The presenters will discuss how states that have legalized marijuana are researching these effects (Register: November 14). Session 2, “Marijuana and Communities: Criminalization, Impact, and Moving Forward,” will provide a context for the community experience of marijuana criminalization and discuss equitable policy-making (Register: November 30). Session 3, “Marijuana and Public Health: Opportunities for Equitable Policies and Approaches,” will discuss the importance of emphasizing equity in policy-making around marijuana, provide examples of these policies, and describe the role of public health (Register: December 14). CA4Health and Dialogue4Health are communities of practice of the Public Health Institute.
